?

Just uncheck the (unchecked by default) option at the top of the page... 'Unfold all inactive user matches'
That is the total opposite of what I described. I'd like to hide them completely from the table.

That's not the 'total opposite', since the total opposite would be checking that box to see all inactive user matches.
Unchecking it means that inactive users only take ONE line of space on the match page. It gives you the ability to still unfold them manually in case you know one of the traders to be in your Steam friend list and you can drop them a message to check out the offer you'll send them. That's why I'm never going to completely bypass potential matches, I'm simply going to hide them.

Why would you want to remove them altogether? And why ask for that in an inappropriate way? (In case you didn't notice, you'll get farther in life by strategically placing polite words such as a 'Please', 'thank you' or 'With all due respect'...)

I'm on a small laptop. I think it would be a good idea to be able to remove all this clutter:

Positive feedback?
I like the night theme, and Latest copies put up for trade and Most requested/offered this month.
Using colors for ratios is nice too. Maybe not 100% clear for me yet, but it's a good idea I think.

The reason is described on the post above. When there is something I don't plan to use, but shows up every time it can become annoying. Would prefer less clutter.

I understand you are referring to be been more polite, though in no way was I disrespectful. Sometimes we write things up quickly, sorry if that was not considerate to you. I think I have been here long enough to prove my courtesy.

So, apparently steamtradematcher is down for more than a week now.
Maybe add some of it's functionality into LT, as one more feature to stand out in contrast to barter! =)

- Inventory crawlng, checking for duplicate Item IDs
- Matching items from same sets, and automating offers, etc

Dunno if this thread is still active, however I think that a good way to lure more users is to offer a truly unique feature.

An idea should be the open trade offer.
When I propose a trade, I don't really care who is the person that close that deal (save for a minimal rep requirement).
A nice feature should be to make an open offer, where I state the game I offer and a list of games I'd like to trade it for, and publish it in a sort of open market.
This should be coupled with the possibility to select one of my game and see what I can get out of it (in the open market), with the possibility to create a quick offer if something catches my eye.

Server-side, all the open offers and the searches should be matched automatically (using hash tables pretty much as the normal matching is done).
I think that most of the procedures required are, in face, already implemented in the project.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I have never seen such feature anywhere, and it could really came handy, especially because I can discover games - potentially out of my wishlist - that are 1-click away to be traded.

What stops you now from receiving offers from your games? I am trying to understand the feature you are proposing.
All our tradables are already available in an open market, but the offer still needs to be directed towards the user.

Yeah, that's the point.
As for now, I can only offer game A for game B to a specific user.
I'd like to set an open offer about my game A for game B to anyone that might be interested.
At the same time, I'd like to see for my game A what offers are available, namely what games can I get trading my game A.
As for now, I can only see, for my game A, which people are interested in it, and their tradable list, and I can only make an educated guess on what they might want to trade for my game A.

Is it perhaps an idea to display all the matches with inactive users at the bottom of the matches page instead of inbetween active users? This would provide less clutter when perusing the lists of traders who are most likely to provide a response, whilst still offering to possibility to trade with inactive users.

I really like the way how rarity can be ascertained from colour when matching by the way. That is a very smart and great improvement.
