I'm thinking of adding more trading tags to help you guys sort out your tradables without having to use custom tags everywhere.
Right now I'm positive I'll add at least these two:
- 'can get' ===> 'I don\'t have it yet, but I can/will get it for a good trade'
- 'considering' ===> 'I'll buy a bundle that has this, if I get a fair offer for it'
The first one would be for traders like mac420 who don't have all the tradables on their list, but can get them very quickly. This should serve as an indication to traders that the user may need to check with his sources first (meaning a possibly longer wait time before an accept.)
The latter tag is intended to mean, "this bundle just got out, it's pretty interesting, but there are a few games in there that I already have / do not want... I'm gonna tag them with that; if I get a good offer for one of those games, then it'll make it easier for me to go and buy that bundle."
This technically would be for people like me who like to add games to my tradables even before buying a bundle. Meaning that technically, if I ever get to recording bundle IDs when adding games from bundle pages, I could potentially notify users who still have games tagged with 'considering' when the bundle is about to expire... e.g. "Hey lazy ass! Come here and buy that bundle or remember to delete those entries!"
So, a few questions now...
1/ Do you think both entries are worth adding to the tag list?
2/ Are you okay with those tag names? (can get, considering)
3/ If not, do you have any suggestions?
4/ Do you have other tags in mind that you'd like to see added..?
As a reminder, tags are super-easy to add in LT's, as I'm handling them in PHP, not with the database. Just a matter of adding a line to the source code... I can even choose whether a tag should be for tradables only, wishlist only, or both.
