Title: How to search forums?
Post by: joaoarena on June 1st, 2017, 11:12 AM
I was looking and did not find the search feature to search for a question.
And by the way, how to cancel an accepted trade?

But... Milouze asked the very same question yesterday in a new topic named similarly to yours... Seriously... It showed up first in the list.. :^^;:

Canceling accepted trades: make sure you both post "Canceled" or whatever in comments so I don't have to investigate, and send me a PM here, or a chat messages on Steam, with simply the link to the offer in question. I'll cancel it manually.
I need to automate this but like everything on LT, I want to do things right, rather than rewrite them over and over, and I have yet to find a 'proper' clean way of doing it without risks of an after-effect. I'll do it eventually, of course...

That's why I asked where is the search forums feature. There are to many posts right now, I over-read some of them, but figured out I would never find anything without a forum search :/
I haven't seen Milouse's post, sorry.

I think the problem is because in the search bar it already says 'Game', so users assume it is for game search only. If it is not there will potentially lead to less confusion.

It changes to 'Member' when you click 'Member' and the search box is empty... :^^;:
It's actually behaving very much like it should (i.e. standard way.)
Plus, if you're on this site and you don't know a thing about it, you'll probably be more interested in a game search than member search. Because the 'Member' option shows up when you click the box, you're then quickly informed that you can search for members or posts, too.

Well, not that it matters, eh... So few people using the search engine at all.
