Yep. It is not as good or diverse as it was once before. The monthly bundle works out ok, but it shouldn't be their main focus.

Didn't know they were owned by IGN.

They were bought out a few months ago. People at the time feared that would mean the end of weekly bundles, IGN said no afaik, but...

So, I forgot to discuss it but HB finally had a new weekly bundle... Well, it's not an exciting one, but at least they haven't given up on them. :)

I loved the cats bundle. Coming from someone who used to be a dog person, now converted to a cat lover these are going to be very useful :D

Was that a game bundle..?

And dogs > cats, but cats are great too. Well if they decide to adopt you, I mean.

Very nice monthly!
Happy I got Kona and The Surge through it... Wasn't too excited with Conan Exiles and Hat in Time (well, mildly excited; I'm unlikely to play them.)
Next month has Tales of Berseria, even better! Like Kona, it was in my shortlist for summer sale purchase (where I ended up buying nearly nothing... Possibly because whenever I see a game is on sale at 66% off or more, I start fearing it'll be in a future monthly bundle... Which happened to be the case here.)

Anyway...

Unrelated question: I just noticed my Steam profile is saying I have 1682 DLCs or something... I'm pretty sure last time I checked, it was saying 1000 or so, in fact I was very careful what I'd redeem as my 1000th DLC and it was a DLC that ended up increasing my counter to 1002 ahah, I was pissed at the time.. But that was, like, a month ago, and since then the only massive amount of DLCs I bought is the Fallout 4 season pass, which is like 10 DLCs at most...

So, I'm thinking, maybe Steam is now counting free DLCs as part of that count..?? You know, like, free soundtracks and all..?

Yep, looks like it... I added a few free DLCs, and they're counted now.

I really didnt like the early unlicks last month, so i skipped.
Had surge be revealed, i would've bought it instantly.

Well, traded for it, so all is good, but sometimes i really wonder why certain games are reveals...

Well, if they revealed all the good ones, we'd be safe when the rest is out...

I for one appreciate that they now reveal more games. For instance tales of berseria alone is alone worth the new monthly, but some will like the other reveals better.

Latest monthly is online, fun to see how Overwatch has the worst ratio by far, non steam games get no love, including from me ;)

New monthly revealed with Hitman... Now I feel bad, I gave up trying to retrade my copy of the season pass a while ago and now it's bundled, lol. I really suck at trading ;)

It was really obvious the last bundle wasn't selling that well. Did way more promotion then usual.

I was overjoyed that Overwatch was in the bundle. My kid has been wanting to play for a long time and I was THIS CLOSE to buying it at $20. Getting it in the monthly was serendipitous. There were a few other gems that made it that much for lovely for me.

Not my kind of game, but yeah it'd probably make for a good present for kids...

Also, unrelated but I just bought the game charity bundle 'alpha' from GMG, with MGS5 Phantom Pain in it, and they didn't provide that bundle at all (possibly a bug in their website). And now they're refusing to refund because they didn't 'hide' the keys they sent me. Lol... Bunch of bullies! They don't want to refund something I didn't order? Well then if this doesn't get settled, I'll simply ban them from the bundle page entirely. I don't take scammers lightly.... Especially when it's for 'charity'!

I noticed that at https://www.greenmangaming.com/gamesaid-charity-bundles-2018/ if you open up the alpha and the beta bundle there via 'view more' that both will redirect to the beta bundle, so that has to do with it. They linked incorrectly, so I assume you simply added the first bundle to the basket or opened the alpha bundle there via 'view more' and then the beta bundle popped up which you bought. Especially for those who just add the product to their basket, they probably do not realise that GreenManGaming linked incorrectly. The proof is right on their own website. It is indeed very deceptive.

Well, that explains it! Thanks for the note! The 'Add to basket' link seems to work, it's the 'View more' link that incorrectly redirects to the Beta bundle, I then ordered from that bundle page directly without double checking. The other issue is that on the shopping cart page, the bundle name is truncated, so it doesn't indicate the Alpha or Beta status.

That'll be helpful especially if PayPal asks me to provide more information. I'll just post a link to your message.

I am wondering how did you know about the bundle? Couldn't find the link to it in any of the menus. Surprised they have such good bundles.
