Nao / Lestrade:
Could you cancel these 2? Both were agreed on by both parties to cancel the trade.

Thanks in advance!
I posted this as a thread because I assume there are other people that want some trades cancelled.
-
Sure. Once I'm back on my pc. ;)
-
hi Lestrade,
Could i trouble you to cancel this trade as i accidentally click on accept, and both of us have agree to cancel the trade. Thanks!

-
You don't have to ask so nicely, it's my fault if the Cancel system isn't in place for regular users, so I gotta live with canceling manually ;)
-
I've got one too, if you could delete it please
https://lestrades.com/offer/4825/
-
Done ;)
Takes note of the fact that most of the trades I see have wildly diverging ratios. I'm not sure I should process with my idea of 'warning' users they're asking for too much or too little... especially at LT's, ratios can be a bit too skewed given the smaller sample of users. Hmm...
Sorry, was thinking out loud ;)

One deal for cancellation please:
https://lestrades.com/offer/4898/
-
Done!
-
I wonder if this topic is still being monitored, and if I'm lucky enough, could you please cancel this offer?
https://lestrades.com/offer/6393/
We have come to an agreement for another deal.
-
I read *everything* on the forum. ;)
Mutual cancel button is on my to-do list... Not a big priority, though. One day I'll eventually write a small tool to cancel all older accepted trades that have yet to be completed.
-
Hello admins
I made a trade, then agreed with the other party to cancel it, but the site doesn't offer this feature, can it be cancelled manually?
thanks:

-
Done. (And no need to create a new topic ;))
-
Hi, due to a region lock on Killer is Dead we mutually agreed to cancel this trade:
https://lestrades.com/offer/7616/
Thank you.
-
I have no idea why giromocastaldo could have accepted such a trade, but whatever
-
Didn't mean to accept this trade, could you please cancel it? https://lestrades.com/offer/8722/
-
Yup.
-
https://lestrades.com/offer/9835/
^Could you cancel please. Key no longer available after trade was accepted, and not a problem at all.
-
Hello, please cancel https://lestrades.com/offer/10120/ - the other party doesn't have game any longer. Btw, it's pretty common situation (at least for me, because I'm kinda slow).
-
What's pretty common..? That you're replying to an offer and the other party didn't bother to remove their tradables from their lists or that you didn't look at the warning messages showing up in the offer list with the games being removed from their tradables..?
-
There are different situations, to name a few:
- forgot to remove from tradeables
- missed warning
- traded in another place
- got accepted several offers for the same game
- changed his decision about trade (I personally don't mind it while actual exchange hasn't started yet)
-
- got accepted several offers for the same game
--> Happens from time to me too.
You're not alone. :D
-
Well, that's what happens when you don't come to the site often?
-
For me, it's usually this scenario:
Send 10 offers for a game im interested in
Go to sleep
Wake up, 3 offers accepted, end up with 3 copies of a game
:D
-
Well, I've rarely gotten more than 1 trade accepted within 12 hours (happened a few times these last couple of days though), but never once for the same game.
If anything, it's trader policy to check with the other party before sending them keys. Lestrade's doesn't adopt the same 'rules' as Barter or Steamtrades anyway-- it's more flexible, and I believe more in talking before acting, anyway.
-
Please can you cancel https://lestrades.com/offer/10406/
The other party no longer has the key.
-
So, I just finished writing the mutual cancel request system. Yay!
Here's what it's SUPPOSED to do:
- When you accept an offer, or someone accepts it, you get to see a 'Cancel' button show up in the offer.
- If you click it, you get a dialog box asking you to confirm. If you cancel that, nothing happens.
- If you confirm, then the offer will turn into a 'Half-canceled' status. It won't show up in your pending offer list, but rather below the list as a regularly canceled offer, and any potentially conflicting items in other pending offers will no longer be pointed out. The other party will also need to press the button, after which it'll turn to a 'Canceled' status.
So, I need volunteers to test that ;) The main issue is that as the admin, I always have the Cancel button on all offers, and I get to bypass the 'half-canceled' status as well. So I'm not even going to bother testing myself, but I'm pretty sure it won't work out of the box. (Given the amount of changes I had to apply to my code internally, I'd be very, very surprised that it's not buggy.)
Of course you can create fake offers and then cancel them after accepting them. Lestrade's doesn't keep any statistics on cancel ratios, because, well, usually if you just had a canceled offer, then you're not too happy, and I'm not adding insult to injury.
Hit me up on Steam if you want to test with me, or just test with a friend of yours and post here if there's anything wrong! (Or anything that could be improved.)
-
Would be available to test
-
Thanks, but I'm busy on the game database for now (implementing a differentiation between TV shows and their episodes, because yeah that's a thing on the Steam database...), and after that I'll be too tired to talk or anything. ^^
I know that the first phase of canceling works, though, since I did that on my earlier force-cancels.
-
Nope. Can only be done by tweaking the database... not seeing a reason to do that. ;)
-
Is there any way to have a half-canceled trade removed?
Talking about this one: https://lestrades.com/offer/18080/
The other person never got back to me despite leaving a message on their Steam profile and hasn't been on the site in 6 weeks. It really bugs me that it will just continue to say that I have one offer until the other person eventually gets back on here and cancels the trade as well. Maybe it would be good if half-canceled trades automatically expire after a certain time?
-
Done.
